CENTRAL OAHU REGIONAL PARK TENNIS COMPLEX GRAND OPENING
FESTIVITIES
PRESIDENTS' DAY, MONDAY,
FEBRUARY 17, 2003
Join
us for a day of fun and festivities on Presidents' Day, Monday, February
17 as Oahu's tennis community comes together to celebrate the opening
of Central Oahu Regional Park's world class tennis complex. Watch the
USTA National Junior tournament matches. Get on the court and try rackets
from Wilson, Yonex and Head! Check out World Team Tennis, an innovative
new adult league, as well as the Honolulu Tennis League, Oahu's established
adult league with thousands of participants! Play on court with a USTA
sponsored fun festival. Keiki, try USTA Ralleyball, a new league for 6-12
year olds.
The day also features top exhibitions with world ranked players Eric
Vervloet and Brandon Currie as well as top collegiate players. There is
truly something for everyone, whether a player who wants to exercise or
a spectator who loves watching competitive tennis, the "sport for a lifetime".
Festivities start at 9 am with continuing tournament play in the USTA
National Junior tournament. For those who want to play on court, the demonstrations
by Wilson, Head and Yonex start at 11 am.
Free food and refreshments are available while they last. So bring your
family and friends to celebrate Oahu's brand new 20 court world class
tennis facility! The park is in Waipio Gentry on Kamehameha Highway, between
Waipahu and Mililani at the intersection of Ka Uka Boulevard, only 15
minutes from downtown Honolulu.
