Foundation to Honor
Holden Au, Zachary Ellis and Andrew Murakami
as 2004 Juniors of the Year

The Hawaii-Pacific Tennis Foundation will honor Holden Au, Zachary Ellis and Andrew Murakami as its 2004 Juniors of the Year. The Foundation will present each award to the recipients at its Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet at Neptune’s Garden Restaurant at the Pacific Beach Hotel in Waikiki from 6:00 to 9:00 pm on Sunday, December 19, 2004.

Au, a Mililani High School freshman, aspires to make the high school tennis team. “Holden always listens, follows instructions and never holds back” says Foundation teaching professional Chris James. “The list of good goes on and on with him; he never makes bad line calls; he has a great attitude; and he is also a good student!”
Murakami, a Leilehua High School senior has played varsity tennis every year of high school for coach and former touring professional Vanne Akagi. “Andrew is the kind of player every coach wants. He is a hard worker and practices on his own.” An honor student, Murakami aspires to play collegiate tennis.
Ellis, a 10 year old Waipahu resident, has participated in the Foundation’s Munchkin program. “Zachary’s attitude and ability to follow instructions shows great maturity for his age” states coach James. “He has a great memory and can adapt or adjust to conditions very well.”

Tickets for the Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet are still available at $65 for the general public. The Banquet will feature as speaker Kent Keith, author of Anyway-The Paradoxical Commandments. The event will also highlight a silent and live auction for those wishing to complete their holiday shopping. To reserve a spot or for more information, email the Foundation at dav@hawaiitennis.org or call (808)677-1334.
