Submit An Article For Publication

We welcome you to submit articles for publication. We appreciate your interest in submitting an article to help us educate and empower our visitors. We do not pay for articles and there is no charge to submit an article.

We do not publish articles that are primarily promotional in nature. Articles submitted should be from private-parties not businesses. Articles must educate, entertain or empower our readers. However, we do allow a "bio" to be published at the bottom of the article page.

Articles should provide information toward individual accomplishment and community improvment through tennis. It should strive to meaningfully touch as many individuals as possible to enrich their lives and better their tennis games.

Articles should be between 600 and 2000 words in length and have an appropriate title for the article.

You may also submit a one-paragraph "bio" about yourself and your business, with contact info, at the bottom of the article.

Email us the article using the article submission form to the right.

There is no charge to submit articles, and you may submit articles that have been previously published in other magazines, ezines and websites.

By completing the e-mailing us your article, you are giving Hawaii Pacific Tennis Foundation permission to publish your article on this website. We also reserve the right to make minor edits when deemed necessary for grammar and readability.

Your e-mail submission must include your legal name, Email Address, Phone Number, Title of Article, Article, and your "Bio" (If you want your contact information published, be sure to include it in your "Bio". To protect your privacy, we do not add phone #'s, websites or email addresses unless it is included in your "Bio".)

Please do not submit material that:

  • contains vulgar, profane, abusive, racist or hateful language or expressions, epithets or slurs, text, photographs or illustrations in poor taste, inflammatory attacks of a personal, racial or religious nature.
  • is defamatory, threatening, disparaging, grossly inflammatory, false, misleading, fraudulent, inaccurate, unfair, contains gross exaggeration or unsubstantiated claims, violates the privacy rights of any third party, is unreasonably harmful or offensive to any individual or community.
  • violates any right of The Foundation or any third party.
  • discriminates on the grounds of race, religion, national origin, gender, age, marital status, sexual orientation or disability, or refers to such matters in any manner prohibited by law.
    violates or inappropriately encourages the violation of any municipal, state, federal or international law, rule, regulation or ordinance.
  • unfairly interferes with any third party’s uninterrupted use of hawaiitennis.org.
  • advertises, promotes or offers to trade any goods or services, except in areas specifically designated for such purpose.
  • uploads copyrighted or other proprietary material of any kind on hawaiitennis.org without the express permission of the owner of that material.
  • uses or attempt to use another's account, password, service or system except as expressly permitted by the Terms of Service.
  • uploads or transmits viruses or other harmful, disruptive or destructive files.
  • disrupts, interferes with, or otherwise harms or violates the security of The Foundation's website, or any services, system resources, accounts, passwords, servers or networks connected to or accessible through hawaiitennis.org or affiliated or linked sites.
  • "flames" any individual or entity (e.g., sends repeated messages related to another user and/or makes derogatory or offensive comments about another individual), or repeats prior posting of the same message under multiple threads or subjects.

We do not reply upon receiving your article and we do not give a "status update" on article submissions. We keep articles on file for approximately one year for possible publication.

We reserve the right to be selective in what we post. We also reserve the right to remove any content posted on our site at any time for any reason.
